Commercial spaces and homes

A workplace request often starts with occupancy and contractor access, while a domestic enquiry may focus on daily room use and belongings. In either case, a surface list is more helpful than a general request to repaint the property. The answers below cover common questions about painting, spraying and getting a quote. The service pages have more detail for your type of project.

Preparation, tools and practical limits

No application method replaces a suitable base. Existing damage, contamination or uncertain old finishes should be explained before a coating is proposed. Spraying and traditional techniques are both available, with protection and access considered for the actual room or item. Tell Eric about the current finish and how the space is used so you can discuss a suitable approach.

From a question to an enquiry

You can start by telephone, email, WhatsApp or the form. Provide the postcode and describe what you know about the surfaces. If you are unsure about an old coating, say so; you do not need to choose every colour before getting in touch. A preferred date is useful background, but sending a message does not itself settle the working arrangement. You will find the quote form, phone number and email address on the contact page.

Talk to Eric

Commercial and offices

What should I send when asking about office painting?

Send a list of rooms, walls, ceilings and woodwork, and explain when the rooms are used. Include who will arrange access to the premises.

Do you paint shops as well as offices?

Yes. We offer commercial decorating for shops and other business premises. Tell us which surfaces you want painted.

Can I ask about painting outside our opening hours?

Yes. Discuss the hours that would suit your business with Eric. Any evening or weekend work needs to be agreed for your job.

Homes

What details do you need for home decorating?

List the rooms and the ceilings, walls, doors and trim you want painted. Include any outside surfaces too if you want exterior painting discussed.

Do you hang wallpaper?

Yes. Tell us about the existing wall finish and whether you want old wallpaper removal considered.

Should I list exterior timber and masonry separately?

Yes. They can need different preparation and paint, so describe the condition of each and what you want coated.

Spraying

What can you paint with an airless sprayer?

We offer airless spraying for ceilings, walls and fences.

What can you spray with HVLP equipment?

We offer HVLP spraying for trim, woodwork, kitchens and garden furniture. Each item needs to be checked for suitability.

Can I still ask for brush and roller painting?

Yes. We offer traditional brush and roller painting as well as spraying. The method can be discussed alongside the surfaces and protection needed.

Quotes and booking

Is a quote free?

Yes. We offer a free quote. Send the property details and describe the work you have in mind.

What if I am not sure which service to choose?

Choose “Not sure” in the form and describe the work in your message.

Does giving a preferred date book the work?

No. It helps us understand your plans, but the work, access and arrangements still need to be agreed.

Areas and contact

Where are you based, and how far do you travel?

We are based in Swanley, Kent, and travel up to 40 miles from Swanley for the right job.

Do you cover Swanley, Dartford, Sevenoaks, Orpington and Bromley?

Yes. We cover all five towns. The areas page has the full coverage list.

When can I call at the weekend?

You can call on Saturday from 9am to 2pm. We are closed on Sunday; email and the enquiry form are alternatives to calling.
